School-Based
Empowerment Series
Girls in under-resourced schools are less likely to have access to positive social and educational programs, designed specifically for them.
Our programming helps fill in the gaps, providing a safe space for sensitive and honest conversations and can be trusted as fact-based and compassionate. Girls in the Know “graduates” carry forward their knowledge to their peers, creating a multiplier effect within their school and community.

Our school-based program is:
- Funded by grants, therefore, is offered at no cost to qualifying schools
- Facilitated during school hours
- Open to school counselors and teachers as the girls’ trusted adults
Girls and their trusted adults in the program will receive:
- Four weeks of audience-specific learning
- Girls in the Know t-shirts
- Hygiene kit that includes a selection of sanitary products and personal care items
- Reference materials and handouts
- I Am Enough wristband
- Workshop Completion Certificate
- Techniques to foster open and honest communication
