When I read the mission of Girls in the Know, I knew it was a perfect match. I have always tried to have an open relationship with my girls but it got harder the older they got. When my youngest entered middle school, I was excited go through the program with her. We had a great time and after the first session, she gave me a big hug and thanked me for taking her. I was blown away and excited about the bond we were building.
I have enjoyed the time I have spent on the Board of GITK. I am excited with the direction of the organization and their passion to empower young girls and their moms to succeed through the teenage years.
Please consider supporting our organization. We are raising awareness through the month of November, our month of gratitude, culminating on Giving Tuesday, 11/29. Our hope is to bring attention to Girls in the Know so that young girls today have the opportunity to become strong, empowered leaders tomorrow.
