Jean Sawin, Program Director, Chicago
Jean first became involved with Girls in the Know as a participant with her 12 yr-old daughter. Her experience with the program motivated her to become involved with the organization. She’s excited to assist in providing the same opportunity to other mothers/caregivers and their daughters.
Jean has an MBA – Human Resources, from Michigan State University and a BS – Occupational Safety and Health from Grand Valley State University. She has worked in human resources for Fortune 100 corporations in the following areas: organizational development, process improvement, training, staffing, and consulting. She lives in Chicago with her husband and two daughters. Additionally, Jean coordinates a literature program at her daughters’ school. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis and coaching girl’s softball.
